I'm closing this thread because it appears that the collection has some big problems. This is the Louis Malle Collection, which someone got for me a long time ago. There are many problems with it, which I've been able to work around by enabling MakeMkv libraries for Windows, and then using HandBrake ...

I get the list, and I select 1: 1/1;
Makemkv responds with:

Using direct disc access mode
Open DVD manually : "1: 1/1"
Subpicture stream count is 8 in VTS 1
Title #1 was skipped
Subpicture stream count is 8 in VTS 1
Title #1 was skipped
Failed to open disc

Not sure why; I am backing up the DVD to ...

Here is how I am interpreting, and I am probably wrong:
VTS_01_0.VOB is the DVD play menu
VTS_01_1.VOB is length 1,048,574KB
VTS_01_2.VOB is length 1,048,547KB
VTS_01_3.VOB is length 1,048,547KB

Debug mode shows:

Yes, it is only processing one. If you look at the attached .txt files, there are more segments than MakeMKV is processing. I have also tried going through the opening settings, they do not appear to make any difference.

Feu de Follet is a DVD I'm having trouble with. Makemkv rips a small portion and terminates without error. Can someone help? I have attached the disc.txt and tree.txt as read in the forum.
