I have cleaned the optical drive with compressed air. I have cleaned all of the marks that I could see from the discs one Blue Ray the other DVD. The drive seems to be ready faster. I will update when I can. Thank you for my your help Woodstock.

My optical drive is bay mounted. The optical drive can read the Blue Ray. This leads me to believe that the discs are heavily protected unless there is a codec that I didn't get with this Beta copy of MKV?

Fawkes the program I downloaded is MKV version setup 1.8.10 Beta. In the properties of that setup file I changed the blocked to unblocked and I stated earlier MKV now works. Smithcraft wired works just fine any of the MKVs will play normal video and audio.

Smithcraft - Thank for replying. This is a wired connection to and from the modem. The wireless part comes in for the shared part. In most instances it plays just fine on the Sony Blue Ray. But when it comes to the Samsung Smart TV that is WiFI. To answer your question this is all VIA WiFi

seem to have problems playing via a NAS (Network attached storage ) but not all movies have this same problem. Most of the movies I have ripped play just fine. The clarity is excellent.
