Thanks for all the tips, I wish I had done better research before buying my drive! Last night I ripped "Star Trek: Into Darkness" at 2x but today I was able to rip "Epic" at 4x. Both disks were dual layer Blu Rays. Any idea why two different disks would rip at two different speed...

I'm experiencing the exact same problems. Anyone have a solution to this? I'm running MakeMKV 1.8.4 on Ubuntu 12.04
