Wow, I'm an idiot. This mac was a replacement for another mac with a different drive setup. Turns out the output path didn't exist on the new drive because it symlinked to a nonexistent external drive.
Sorry for the noise...

Re: Getting generic backup failed error message
I just tried a different Blu-Ray drive and got the same error codes. :( Anyone have any suggestions here? I don't want to have to use the original disks to watch these movies. Much happier when I can stream them off of my NAS. DEBUG: Code 0 at %[\j3SR=c9%4X}~F:121262624 BD+ code processed, got 1 FUT...

Getting generic backup failed error message
Hi, I have an external blu-ray player that I've used a lot to backup my BluRay discs. Recently, I've started getting errors when trying to rip any disc, even ones that have been successfully ripped before. This is the error code I'm getting: 003332:0000 Saved BD+ dump file as /Users/username/.MakeMK...

Re: The program can't find any usable optical drives
If the drive is powered by the USB port, make sure that there is sufficient power on the port that you plugged into. Ports ON the computer have more power available than ports on hubs, UNLESS the hub has its own power supply. The drive does have external power, and the power supply is plugged in. A...

Re: The program can't find any usable optical drives
One last bit of info on this - I tried to rip a disk I've backed up properly in the past, and it also failed with the same error message, with the same debug messages in the log. Appreciate any help on this. Seems like something is goofed up in my setup or the new version of MakeMKV. The drive has w...

Re: The program can't find any usable optical drives
Damn, still getting errors, though different ones this time. I tried plugging into the mac directly, as well, but no luck. Does anyone know what this is about: MakeMKV v1.9.5 darwin(x86-release) started Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as /Users/username/MakeMKV_log.txt Optical drive "B...

Re: The program can't find any usable optical drives
Ah, fixed it by moving to a different USB hub (from an external USB hub to the one built into the Apple display... weirdly it worked).

The program can't find any usable optical drives
Hi, Just installed 1.9.5 and tried to start it up. The program starts, but says "The program can't find any usable optical drives" This is the same drive I've used before, though maybe not with Yosemite (it's been almost a year since I've ripped something on this setup). The last version I...

Star Trek Into Darkness BluRay
Hi there, Has anyone had any luck backing up their Star Trek Into Darkness Blu ray using MakeMKV? I just got a disk from Amazon that isn't even allowing me to select the backup option. I'm waiting to test it in another blu ray player, but thought I'd ask if someone had done this successfully. Thanks.
