The problem was the Uninstall command did not totally uninstall all the files. I went to the program files folder and opened the MakeMKV. There were still some files left in the folder. I deleted all files in the folder. Then installed the program again and this time it showed version 1.86.

I too have downloaded version 1.86 and deleted the 1.85. When I install the 1.86 exe. I get the following :
MakeMKV v1.8.5 win(x64-release) started
The new version 1.8.6 is available for download at /download
I have done the 1.86 install 3 times now and get the message above.

New Beta not allow saving to hard Drive for play Back
I am trying to make copies of my BluRay DVDs for play back from a hard drive in the MKV format. This option does not seem to be available in the New Beta version. Only allows backup to hard drive which does not open and play.
