I think I would like to buy a license for application but I need to know more about the install limits. Can the key be de-activated in the software and then re-used if the OS is reinstalled / new OS drive? Is there a limit or other process to allow this?

Ah, good to get a feel for the brand's. I was actually hoping for a particular model recommendation. I have one drive that is locked and one that isn't. Definitely hope to avoid another locked model :/

I just download1.8.6 to play with alongside my shiny new ASUS BD drive. The read seems to be incredibly slow, I can't get over 2.5X which means bluerays are pretty much not copy-able. I seem to be getting a lot of SCSI erros on certain DVDs

Example:

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading 'DVD+R-DL hp CDDVDW TS-L633R 0400' at offset '32768'


Does this mean the DVD is bad? I do get these on some DVDs but others are fine.
