Re: ASUS BW-16D1HT model(?) number
Differences are either just region related or if it comes in a external case or not IIRC. Personally, though look for another drive. Gone through two (burned out the spindle in one) and they have issues with UHD's. Will read some but not all. I remember a post by someone here who sells preflashed dr...

Re: ASUS BW-16D1HT Issue?
Note how the disk label is when you put the disk in and close the drive. Wait a minute then eject the disk. If it is in the exact same position the spindle is burned out. Already replaced one of these drives (well two but the first one was to old to be flashed with LD firmware) because of this issue...

Re: ASUS BW-16D1HT what a rubbish drive
For you maybe.
I used the hell out of this drive (pre, what was it 2013 build? the unflashable one) for years.
Bought a newer one and flashed it (using same encloser) and have had zero issues.
I would look for problems elsewhere in your system.

Re: View Skipped Titles?
I guess spending hours ripping an entire disk TWICE is the only work around for something that is as simple as an option to not skip anything?

Re: How does MakeMKV separate DTS core from DTS HD-MA ?
It is pointless to rip both. Only grab the DTS-MA.
If what you play it back on only supports DTS it will still play fine.

Re: Any Reason to Keep AnyDVD
I thought MakeMKV explicitly said disable AnyDVD if its running because it causes problems?
Also I have never had issues with MakeMKV being able to deal with any disk.

Re: Feature request - Closed Caption support
It was planned for the long time. Getting closer and closer, but no definite timeline yet. Bumping a very old topic. I still see support of this lacking. Mike, I know you probably have a day job so I won't press too hard but was this feature request abandoned, forgotten or just low enough priority?...

Re: Why does remuxing (w/o removing anything) change file si
I have had the same experience and am wondering the same thing! In my case I extracted a DVD with MakeMKV. I then found that I wanted to rename one of the subtitle tracks for easy identification during playback. Rather than re-rip the DVD, I used MakeMKV to open the MKV file and renamed the track i...

I do not think that feature has ever worked.

Same here. I thought it was required because it was nested.
