Re: Dazed and Confused
I've gotten this error twice now with this disc. Brand new, not dirty. Any advice? About halfway through the rip, it just stopped being able to read the disc. I checked with other blurays and the drive is fine. Debug log started at Sat Sep 21 15:52:15 2013 , written by MakeMKV v1.8.5 win(x64-release...

Braveheart
I'm getting in the habit of ripping the movies I purchase as soon as I buy them to make sure I can rip them cleanly. Picked up Braveheart at BB off the $9.99 rack with a $5 Upgrade & Save coupon, so it was $4.99. The point of me mentioning that is to establish that this was a brand new, clean, n...

My Week with Marilyn
I suspect this is a bad disc / dirty disc error, but the disc doesn't look too bad. Some minor scratches in the reflection, but nothing glaring. Re: Crashing/ Freezing mid-rip
yes, its internal. I guess I should change the cable and see if thats it. I also did some searching and found the Upper/Lower filter fix and tried that. I did manage to get through 5-6 rips last night without any crashing, so that may have been it. But higher quality cable isn't a bad idea either. (...

Crashing/ Freezing mid-rip
I've been having some problems for a while now. First they were intermittent, but now it seems I've got them full time. My previous drive (Asus rebranded lite-on, i believe) was failing about 50% of the time. Seems like the OS just "lost" the drive and I'd have to do a restart to get it ba...

Re: MakeMKV Batch Converter
actually, one other suggestion (unless I missed the setting).... it would be great if you could choose the temp directory rather than having it be in the destination folder. In my other conversion/encoding apps, I put the temp folder on a faster performance drive and then the final destination folde...

Re: MultiMakeMKV: batch processing for MakeMKV (Win)
in case anyone stumbles across this thread (like I did), there's a new GUI based tool for batching MKVs.

Re: MakeMKV Batch Converter
great little proggy. I was looking for something exactly like this to convert the 100s of DVDs that I had ripped to TS folders for WMC. Now that I'm on Plex, this was the perfect tool. Any way to have it remember your last folder? When adding movies to the queue its a (very minor) pain if your movie...
