Oops. Perhaps I need new glasses...
However, it's the app that pushes you towards the Buy page when you click on Help/Purchase. I never thought of looking anywhere else for a different version of the Beta key.

Re: I am getting an "application version is too old" even though I have a registration key
I THINK the beta key page originally read "and is valid until end of June 2021." & was the same as the ' Purchase ' page until people started having an issue & Mike(?) fixed it? The link you provided was dated 4 March, so the beta key update on the News and Announcements thread ap...

Re: I am getting an "application version is too old" even though I have a registration key
Another thread says this one is working now? https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053 The new key quoted in that link does indeed solve the problem. The problem would never have arisen if the MakeMKV Buy page ( https://www.makemkv.com/buy/ ) had been updated to quote the correct...

Re: I am getting an "application version is too old" even though I have a registration key
I have the same problem as of this morning. Tried various things and tried various registrations. In the end I have uninstalled/installed the latest Windows version The same error appears: "Temporary key has expired and was removed. Please restart application" Hit OK button and the follow...

Re: Mislaid permanent key for MakeMKV
A post yesterday on another thread quoted the following MakeMKV support address.
support@makemkv.com
I have now sent an email to that address, as I suspect it is probably a more appropriate route for resolving my problem.

Mislaid permanent key for MakeMKV
I have just bought a new computer and want to register my new installation of MakeMKV using the permanent key I bought several years ago. My financial records tell me exactly when and how I made the payment via Avangate, but I'm struggling to find any email to remind me of the key, despite my MS Out...

Re: MKV file plays fine on one PC but not on another
The big difference is "Rossini - La Cenerentola" is a NTSC 29,976fps DVD and "Enigma" is a PAL 25fps DVD. Maybe (!) the 29,976fps are not accepted by the TV (disabled?) or the conversion to 25fps failed. I was aware of the NTSC vs PAL difference, but couldn't find any other NTSC...

Re: MKV file plays fine on one PC but not on another
I think it is a problem with DVD resolution or framerate. Provide a listing with "MediaInfo" from a working and not working mkv file. Maybe this shows the difference in the streams. I have attached MediaInfo data for two of my DVD rips. La Cenerentola is a 1996 opera recording and is the ...

Re: MKV file plays fine on one PC but not on another
Most likely cause is a bandwidth issue. And the most likely place is that the decoding of video is too slow for real-time display. The decoder will usually try to keep the audio on track (time-wise), sacrificing the video decode. I see this when I try to play 4K h.265 content on a system that does ...

MKV file plays fine on one PC but not on another
I have been using MakeMKV for several years to rip my Blu-rays and a few of my DVDs, but hit a problem today I have never seen before. A DVD rip was completed without any error and the resulting MKV plays fine on my primary Dell workstation, using JRiver Media Center 26. However, when I tried to pla...

Re: Can't copy Les Triplettes de Belleville
I'm unable to explain why a new BD drive fixed my problem and can only speculate that older drives lack some key feature. The year of manufacture of my new Pioneer is 2014, while my old Hitachi-LG BH30N was made in 2009 (3 years after the introduction of Blu-ray in 2006). I wonder if the Pioneer dri...

Re: Can't copy Les Triplettes de Belleville
I hit exactly the same problem as previously described in my OP with a new Blu-ray I have just bought. This time it was a Unitel Classica recording of a classical concert (the Staatskapelle Dresden playing the Four Last Songs and the Alpine Symphony by Richard Strauss). The only action I had not yet...

Re: Can't copy Les Triplettes de Belleville
I will certainly take the first available opportunity to check my Triplettes disk on another BD drive. In the meantime, I would be interested in your response to my other questions, i.e. how is your optical drive described in Windows Device Manager and what provider and date is associated with the d...

Re: Can't copy Les Triplettes de Belleville
I assume you meant V1.8.14, which was the same level I was using. I've just upgraded to V1.9.0 but it has made no difference. Unfortunately, I don't have another computer equipped with a Blu-ray drive, though I'm tempted to upgrade the optical drive in my laptop or old PC just to see if it works. Ho...

Re: Can't copy Les Triplettes de Belleville
I have this blu ray but it is region B as this is not available in the US. Is your OPPO region free? I have ripped it with MakeMKV with no problems. Like you, I am using a 64-bit Windows 7 PC. My copy of the Blu-ray is also Region B. My Oppo Blu-ray player would also originally have been Region B, ...
