I just got a new WH16NS40 with a manufacture date of Feb. 2025 so I assume it is encrypted and before I start flashing the drive I want to make sure I do it correctly and don't miss anything.

Re: SDFtool Flasher
From the first post.
NOTE: If the GUI looks a bit deformed (happens on a 4k monitor), you can right click the exe and select properties. In the compatibility tab, click "Change high DPI settings" then under "High DPI scaling override" tick the box and select "System (Enhanced)" in the ...

Re: SDFtool Flasher
I just downloaded the tool but does not show up correctly on my windows 11 machine. It appears that the windows is too small and I can not see the check marks and the text is cutoff. Windows will not let me make the window bigger.

Re: Automatic naming of audio/subtitle tracks tracks
Fair enough for the forced subtitles but maybe for the Audio that would be great or the non forced subtitles.Chetwood wrote: Sun Nov 17, 2019 5:25 am Which won't work since MakeMKV does not reliably detect forced subs, unfortunately.

Automatic naming of audio/subtitle tracks tracks
Is there a way to automatically name the audio and subtitle tracks to a predefined name?
For example most blu-rays that have Dolby TrueHD Atmos or dts-HD MA are just named "7.1 surround" and Dolby Digital and dts are just named (5.1 Surround)
Now MakeMKV does detect the audio codec used and I ...

Audio Selections?
I have browsed through the forum and have done a couple of searches but have not found exactly what I am looking for. Sorry if this has been covered before I'm not sure if the terms I used for the search where even the right terms to search for.

Re: Step-by-step guide for the best (IMHO) drive: LG WH16NS60
@tragic bleak I just flashed using your guide and so far is working great. It would be nice if you also posted a link to the current firmware pack that has the latest versions. Also I see that unrestricted speed is possible but not yet enabled is there a firmware out there that has this enabled for ...

Re: Feature Request: Preview Window in MakeMKV
I would also like to have this feature. It would be very useful in figuring out witch forced subs are needed. Along with identifying the correct episodes on a disc.

Semi Auto Save Directory Naming
I use the semi auto save directory, is there a way to make MakeMKV to not put the title number after the name of the file? I would also like to replace the underscores with spaces.
Example
This is how my files are currently saved.
.../[Movie Name]/[Movie_Name]_t00.mkv
