Re: "Cinavia" watermark protection
Just to confirm again.... An Oppo player (I own the Oppo 103) which does have Cinavia detection, will NOT detect Cinavia in an MKV container. Even with the latest firmware installed, Cinavia is not detected in MKV. I have my entire BR disc library backed up to MKV and I can either stream via Etherne...

Re: "Cinavia" watermark protection
The verdict has been clear all along: since it can't be removed without seriously degrading audio quality, you need to stick to players that ignore it. What clear verdict? As I said, my oppo 103 has cinavia detection. I have no problems when I back up my BR to MKV and play via my external HDD via U...

Re: "Cinavia" watermark protection
As long as you play them on a device that doesn't have Cinavia detection, there's nothing to worry about. The oppo 103 has cinavia detection. My MKV files still play without issue. Edit: from the oppo 103 forums.... We have reports that Cinavia detection is working only for BDMV backups, not for MK...

Re: "Cinavia" watermark protection
5 pages of responses and I am still not sure what the verdict is regarding cinavia. I use makemkv to back up my brd to MKV. I have not had any problem playing any movies with this method via a USB HDD to my oppo 103 or streaming from my PLEX. The amazing spider-man plays perfectly, as does pacific r...

Re: Trouble with HD Decoder
Unfortunately, my Oppo 103 stuutters badly when playing then MKV file. I am on wireless, I would guess that I do not have enough bandwith to play the file properly. My router is on the second floor, so I would need to run a cable to my first floor to test properly. I have been pouring over the Roku ...

Re: Trouble with HD Decoder
I have PLEX installed on my Mac and on my full windows box. In both cases, only Dolby D is displayed on my AVR. I access PLEX via my Roku 3. So your saying although my AVR says Dolby D, I am actually getting the DTS HD? But I wont get HD audio via Mountain Lion? However, if I access Plex on my windo...

Re: Trouble with HD Decoder
So I wont get true DTS HD or Dolby HD on windows either for Paralles?
What if I install a true Windows 7 machine?
Ah...I believe I am also limited by my Roku 3.
How the heck can I play the HD audio?
What do you guys use?

Re: Trouble with HD Decoder
I am using HDMI
Was not aware that Mountain Lion did not do HD Audio.
I guess I will need to install Parallels in order to run Windows 7 and install the Plex medial Server on Windows.

I've done that. But when I play them back via PLEX, my AVR says the track is Dolby D. When I play the BR, my AVR says its DTS HD.

Re: Trouble with HD Decoder
Thank you for the help. Much appreciated. Still a bit confused though. If I play my Bluray Disk, my AVR says the audio is HD If I play my rip, my AVR says the audio is DTS. Am I still getting the HD track copied with my MKV RIP? Or Must I convert the audio to something else? Do I rip BOTH the core D...

Re: Trouble with HD Decoder
So in order to copy the Dolby or DTS HD 1:1, I do not need the DLL?

Trouble with HD Decoder
I configured the path to dtsdecoderdll.dll per the forums instructions. The path is looking for DTSHDDec.dll and I also tried pointing to this DLL. Either way I am met with the following error: "Copy Complete, 0 titles Saved, 1 Failed." If I delete the path to the DLL's my MKV will complet...
