Re: MakeMKV struggles with discs DVD Decrypter doesn't
Mike would have to provide the definitive word, but... from what I've seen, MakeMKV kicks into the multiplex decode mode when the IFO files disagree. Some disks that have this issue, when read by other programs (my experience was with Handbrake acting as a ripper), the results aren't always what yo...

MakeMKV struggles with discs DVD Decrypter doesn't
I was recently trying to rip a DVD ("Birds of a Feather" Series 1, region 2), and MakeMKV struggled to open the disc. After about 3 minutes of trying, it was still working on the 3rd title on the disc. Here's the log it produced: MakeMKV v1.9.0 win(x64-release) started The new version 1.9....

Feature request regarding file names
I've been using MakeMKV recently, and it's pretty good (better for my purposes than any other DVD ripper I've managed to find), but the one thing I'd like to see implemented is a system for naming files better. I mostly rip TV shows, and it's annoying to get names like "title00.mkv". I lik...

Re: Metadata server?
This would indeed be pretty great if someone set it up. Would make ripping DVDs so much simpler and quicker. And it could give the option of ripping the files with the right names automatically so stuff like XBMC/Plex would be able to identify it and download the metadata etc., without you manually ...
