Does anyone think it's odd that Mike hasn't responded to any posts relating to June beta key or purchase questions?
Maybe he quit or just waiting to see how many people actually buy it.

Back to MKV!
I was watching some of my BD & SD mkv rips from "another" commercial app, and was surprised at how many of them had sync problems!! One of them had a VERY LARGE sync...about 2 seconds worth :( I haven't used Makemkv in awhile since I bought the "other" app -- big mistake. Rip...

Re: subtitles OPPO 103
How about using the search function? The Oppo player apparently don't support PGS subs which is the official format on Blurays and thus in MKVs made by MakeMKV. I spoke with Oppo's tech support about subtitles with MKV and they tell me it's a hardware issue that's inherent in Oppo's BD players. I h...

Re: No audio with "Kill Bill" blu-ray MKVs
Which audio streams did you select? Some, such as "TruHD", are not well supported in software. Search the forum for "undf" and "undef", and you will find several topics on this. I'll check to see when I get back home, but I always select all the available audio streams...

No audio with "Kill Bill" blu-ray MKVs
This is the first time I've run into this problem with ripping my blu-ray DVDs to MKV, but after creating MKV versions of the main movie of each blu-ray disc (1 & 2), I tried playing them on VLC and got an error message: "No suitable decoder module - "undf". I figured that was a V...

Re: MKV not showing imbedded subtitles
Once again, I appreciate all your suggestions. It's just a shame that a $1200 unit like the Oppo 105 doesn't support MKV subtitles. Ah well, there's always tradeoffs, regardless of the price. While Handbrake is a terrific piece of software, as previously mentioned, I don't want to compromise quality...

Re: MKV not showing imbedded subtitles
There ARE workarounds. The "easiest" is if the title ships with a DVD as well as the BD. You can use tools like MKVToolix to merge the subtitle tracks from a rip of the DVD with the video, audio, and chapter tracks from the BD, in place of the BD's subtitle tracks. They won't look quite a...

Re: MKV not showing imbedded subtitles
It's also possible your Oppo does not support (unzipped) PGS subs. Try the WDTV profile to see if it makes a difference. I used the WDTV profile to rerip it to mkv but still no subs :( I'll call Oppo to see if they have an answer or solution. FOLLOWUP: I just spoke with Oppo and, unfortunately, you...

Re: MKV not showing imbedded subtitles
It is possible that the "forced" subtitles are not tagged as forced. There are a LOT of BDs out there that use a separate track for forced subtitles, rather than tagging individual subtitles as "forced" or "not forced" within a single subtitle track. The majority of BD...

MKV not showing imbedded subtitles
I just backed up my BDs of Godfather I and II, and despite having checked 'forced English subtitles' in MakMKV, the subs don't show up during the Italian-language scenes when streaming to my Oppo -- though when I play back the original discs through the Oppo (BD-105) the 'embedded' English subtitles...

Re: Can't skip chapters on some MKV movies
Update and Eureka!! I've been trying a demo of JRiver Media Center and -- wow! -- I can now skip chapters on ALL when streaming MKV movies created with MakeMKV to my Oppo! :D I was previously using a freebie called oShare (a very basic, super-simple DLNA compliant media server) when I ran into the i...

Re: Can't skip chapters on some MKV movies
Thanks for the tip! Copying the few problematic (no-chapter-skip player control) MKV movies to a thumb drive worked like a charm when viewed on my Oppo players. How odd that some MKVs allow this control in wi-fi mode and others don't.
Oh well, at least I know it's not just me

Can't skip chapters on some MKV movies
I have two Oppo players, the BDP-105 and 95 and stream my MKV movies to them, all created from my SD DVDs (and two BDs so far with no problem). I can't think of why *some* MKV movies won't allow me to next-chapter-skip -- only fast-forward -- and others have no such issues. These movies all have mul...

Re: How make backup MKVs of my total discs?
Hi! As far as I know, the Matroska ("MKV") container does not presently support menus... Thanks much for your response! Yes, unfortunately after much searching on the forum, I discovered the mkv container doesn't support menus. (: Not a big problem with backup SD discs, but for BD it seem...

How make backup MKVs of my total discs?
I recently downloaded the trial version of your excellent program, and have been experimenting with backing up a few of SD movies that I own, some of them from .iso files I created with ImgBurn, some from the original DVDs. I wanted to test the results. I noticed that MakeMKV does not create the ful...
