I have also the same problem. Samsung SE-506.Also a paid user that can not copy any Blu-Ray disks. Very discouraged!!
As a side note, just tried to copy with DVDFab9, and it works fine. Why not MakeMKV?

I have both plugs from the DVD connected to the iMac itself, so both should be fully powered.
And since it plays without any problems when using VLC, can the power really be the problem or is it something that MKV does not like?
