Re: Dolby Vision/ HDR10+ mkv files on newest Nvidia shield pro | plex
I can confirm this is working now. If you load a UHD disc into MakeMKV (Latest October 2020 release) it will extract the Dolby Vision metadata correctly and insert it into your MKV file. Then, use the latest nVidia Shield with Dolby Vision to playback in Plex and it works flawlessly. Make sure you ...

There is a new version available? 1.15.1
I purchased a license last year, so I'm not sure this shows up for those still using the free version. However, it told me 1.15.1 is available for download, yet when you go to the link, 1.15.0 is still the only version showing and available for download. Cleared cache, cookies, etc. Tried different ...

Re: UHD support
Far as I know, the Plex Media server only makes the decision on what to transcode based on the clients reporting of it. In this case, that's whatever your trying to play from. I'd check all the settings on your xbox. See if there is one for passthrough of audio and something for video as well. and i...

Re: The Force Awakens
I just put it into my Panasonic Blu Ray player in my home theater and it worked fine, so I pulled the disc and after closer inspection in the sunlight, I noticed that large parts of the the disc appeared to have some sort of film or haze over it that didn't match up with the graphic on the front. I ...

Valid until the end of May.
Thanks!
That key does not work. Tried it on 3 different machines.
The backdating of your system one day as a temp workaround does however.

Re: DTS-HD / MA questions
Thanks for the response. I may have a slightly unusual setup and perhaps I won't be able to get HD audio until I change out my video card to one that is fully HDMI. With that said, here's what I have and what I have done - I have an EVGA GTX 260 Video card that has a SPDIF input in the side of it, n...

DTS-HD / MA questions
First time poster. Been reading seemingly hundreds of threads and am no closer to figuring out the issue I'm having, so I thought I'd post and see if someone can steer me in the right direction. I'm trying to get my HTPC to send DTS-HD or True HD to my Pioneer Elite receiver. I'm using the Avengers ...
