I'm having similar issues lately. MakeMKV will ask for permissions a couple times during a single disc rip. I've checked all the permissions -- seems to check out fine there.

Same issue here on an M1 Mac...

I figured but was still hopeful.

Is the process still relatively easy to rip to MKV (while retaining DV)? I wouldn't mind getting some remuxed copies on my server.

@hogfan I've been ripping my large 4K collection for years now and have always wanted to get DV on my Plex server. From my searches online, I've found a ton of mixed information on process which most seemed pretty complicated. Was this just a test for you -- or are you doing more rips/encodes? Guess...

Mine is the regular US non-steelbook release, and it's still not working. Sent in the dump for it last night, though (along with the dump for the BB steelbook of RAN this morning), so hopefully soon.

Mine was purchased on Amazon.

I'm just now ripping my discs. I see there's two options -- which did you choose?

I was able to backup the disc first then rip from that image. Added another 15 minutes to the process but still worked.
