OK, for no known reason, it's working again. While the computer has been rebooted a couple of times, there were no software updates or changes of any kind. It's ripping a 4K Star Wars movie now, which will take another 1:18 to finish, so won't test the rip tonight.

Agreed, I should be more descriptive. When attempting to start the program, a MakeMKV BETA popup message appears the the message in the subject line. Off hand, I doubt it will make a difference, but you could always try with a short feature. The FLAC profile converts the audio streams, and the WDTV profile compresses the headers and stuff.
