Incase anyone is interested, this continues to fail in 1.8.3. One difference is that now it fails pretty quickly. It used to go through the entire disk before reporting an error.

I can play it on multiple computers, it's just been a rip problem. Someone had the problem with this set in 2011, and it was fixed at the time. (I think it was version 1.6) There are 12 disks.
