I solved my problem by getting a new drive and changing my SATA AHCI driver from Intel to MS. I hope I can return the defect one (bought it just before Christmas).

hello everyone, i got a new status update. I installed the drive in another PC and it worked without a problem with the same disc. I also ordered a second drive, installed it in my PC and got the same error. So it seems to be a PC related issue. Do you have any suggestion how i could figure out what...

hi, thanks for the fast response.
It is a commertial BR disc, no ISO, no rip.
I can't test the BR playing on the same device atm, because it refuses to play on an analog display (vga).
I will try playing it tomorrow over HDMI on my TV. My PS3 played the disc without a problem.
