I don't have that device so I can't comment but you could try posting at the top level here. Also there are a number of posts on the topic that pop up from a quick search, highlighting that there are ways to play it without having to convert it to sbs type format. eg: https://www.reddit.com/r/Oculus...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Saw that Amazon had a S13U in the 'amazon renewed' section and gave it a go as it was discounted and had a chance of being a drive with older firmware.. Annnnd it wasn't. 1.04 Dec 12 2022. So if you see a Pioneer on Amazon, even the returns, it is probably best to assume it has the bad firmware and ...

Re: Anyone else having issues with ripping Avatar WoW Disc 1?
I got my copy from Best Buy. I'm thinking maybe an import disc will work. Since the discs that couldn't rip and would pause and glitch on the PC when playing back but worked without issue at the same spot on the 3d player on the TV, I wanted to try a different brand of drive. All three of my drives...

Re: 3D blu-ray is dead, may it rest in peace.
3D capability is still common with projectors. So for folks who care about it, there are still options for new display devices, just not direct view sadly.

Re: Anyone else having issues with ripping Avatar WoW Disc 1?
This is the 3D forum so we are talking expressly about the 3D discs. Specifically, the first of the 3D movie's 2 discs.
The 2D disc is.. 2D.. So ripping it is irrelevant to the topic of ripping the 3D discs. (Though I didn't have a problem with it nor the Bonus disc, only the first 3D disc).

Re: Anyone else having issues with ripping Avatar WoW Disc 1?
Both comforting to hear and not. My discs came from Amazon. Where did you get yours?
I'm going to wait a while and look at picking up one in the fall, from a different retailer, gambling on the issue being resolved by different runs of the product.

Anyone else having issues with ripping Avatar WoW Disc 1?
First disc failed around 30 something percent and then at 60%. Washing it seemed to make it get past the first failure but I couldn't get past the second. It would also freeze at that point when playing it back on my PC but eventually get past it. With my blu-ray player, it does not hickup at all at...

Re: If you want a great "case study", then Iron Giant - Signature Edition Bluray was the worst rip I've ever multiplexed
Ripped about the same number as Radiocomms237 and agree that Iron Giant was a relatively straight-forward disc relatively speaking. Just have to run into all the different ways things can be done a few times and titles like this won't trip you up anymore. As for the work, do remember pretty much nob...

Re: How to copy Blu Ray extras
The chapters is on the movie title, the extras are one of the many other items listed. Sometimes the disc has them partially labeled, but most of the time you will need to identify them. The way I've always done that is to open the movie in a player and go to the extras, play them to see the length ...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)
Here's a thread of people complaining about frames being dropped in Plex since July on both AppleTV and Shield, so maybe we're not crazy: https://forums.plex.tv/t/playback-random-frame-stutter-caused-by-dropped-frames/609697/33 One person said they turned off the new player and it helped...I'll try...

Re: State of the art 4k movies from a technical view
Thank you all, I checked a lot of movies, seems hard to find a movie, which is not outsold, with natural scenes / landscapes. IMHO blurred fantasy scenes are not able to show the quality of a tv. Blade Runner is on my candidate list as well as Braveheart and Ghostbusters, but not happy with them 10...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)
Thanks for your post, it's full of useful info, particularly the part about Plex. I think I will leave the pause in as it seems to me that it's is merited for artistic reasons. Yeah, if you want a reminder to take a pee break, sure. But there are no 'artistic' reason for the break in the movie. Thi...

Re: Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit 4K (Finally!)
Not the issue. My nas is currently maxed out and has around 2.5tb left which will be gone soon. I need to build a bigger nas but it costs money. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk Yeah, full NAS is a pain. Looked hard at getting one for a long time but that issue is why I decided to stick with ke...
