Re: 1.8.9 - Seems to still be forced subtitle flagging issue
Sorry, I hadn't even thought to look at them. Just used to the output defaulting to forced if it sees the track forced. Yes, I can edit. When I select 'forced' (of course not knowing if it there is forced or not initially) the MKV flag is set as default on the first one and nothing on the other Engl...

Re: _ (underscore) in file name
This is a much-requested option... For what it is worth, if you have expert mode enabled, you can edit the file names BEFORE you create the files. Agreed, I'd like to see it be the same as the name but at least it isn't a big deal to change (in expert mode anyway). Just a bit of cut and pasting now...

Re: Makemkv now indicates main title on BluRay's?
I saw it on one title (don't remember which, just noted it as I hadn't seen it before) but it hasn't show up on about 5 other since, most older titles, some with multiple (fake?) additional same- sized tracks.

1.8.9 - Seems to still be forced subtitle flagging issue
I'm still seeing what I assume is the same issue with 1.8.9. Both Looper and Rise of the Planet of the Apes had forced subtitles that were pulled but neither was flagged as forced (or default - I also included the main English subtitle track for both if that is relevant). I had to do so after using ...

Not quite as clear as MKVMerge but the function is there:

Re: TrueHD and HD Master audio advice
Not sure about the limitation though you could validate it on VLC or avsforum. I'd be suprised if it couldn't play 5.1 as it should be able to fall back to the DTS 5.1 core which is part of the HD soundtrack. As for the solution, I wouldn't do that as there may be other solutions (like installing sh...

Re: Bug/Request - Auto chapter naming should start at 01, no
You can also now rename them in GUI, before making MKV file. Wow, thank you for pointing that out as I totally skimmed over that item in the release notes as I wasn't expecting it! It makes it so many of us will no longer need to use any other tool or process when putting movie/episode-only content...

Re: Hobbit backup problem
That wouldn't have anything to do with the speed of your computer. It would only have to do with the player or codecs in your system (assuming there was no issue with the file). VLC is typically the best thing for playback. If you tried to play it on your laptop over wireless (the file being on anot...

Re: Bug/Request - Auto chapter naming should start at 01, no
Mike, apologize if I missed it but is there an ETA for v.next? Days? Weeks? Months?
Just curious as I've been holding off on putting a TV season on disc as it is a lot of episodes to have to manually correct.

Great! Thanks for looking into it further and for the upcoming fix!
Now on to pressing for the new feature request enabling manual chapter naming (for discs with them) before mkv creation..

Re: Bug/Request - Auto chapter naming should start at 01, no
Pualster: thanks for the confirmation. Mike: I've attached specific example from The Hobbit of what we are describing. I've attached an extract of the chapters from the Blu-ray and from the MakeMVK generated MKV file. As noted, the chapters all start at 0 seconds and the first chapter mark is always...

Re: Bug/Request - Auto chapter naming should start at 01, no
Thanks for the reply! I'm not sure I understand the concern being described however. I've been putting my (~400) discs on my computer (as Movie+lossless track only) for years and the chapter file extracted by eac3to on the movie file has always pointed to the start of the file and exactly matches th...

Bug/Request - Auto chapter naming should start at 01, not 00
(I did search but didn't find this specific topic posted - please link if it has already) Request: Make default chapter names start with 01 (or just 1) and not 00. Recently started using MakeMKV instead of eac3to+MkvMerge and noticed that it is making the chapter name start with 00 which puts every ...
