 ok, so even more confusing. It looks like 795 is the one that works for me. The segment map for my 795 is: 511,512,515,507,504,513,514,503,502,505,506,510,508,509,501 I'm ripping this stream from the Best Buy Steelbook. I'll let you know how it goes in a few. I'm not sure why or how, but I got it to read, open and backup Riddick.  All I did differently was use a polishing cloth to wipe any possible dust.  It's a brand new disc, so I don't know why that was necessary (dust in my drive maybe?), but it's taken care of.

I just tried to rip a copy of Riddick (2013) Blu-ray with MakeMKV 1.8.8 on OSX 10.9 Mavericks. It gives me a block of text as seen below. MakeMKV v1.8.8 darwin(x86-release) started Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as /Users/WhetMac/MakeMKV_log.txt Optical drive "DVD+R-DL MATSHITA DVD-R ...

Uncheck All?
I searched the forums a bit for this question/feature request, but didn't come up with anything so I'll just ask... Is there a way to "uncheck all" in 1.8.7 on Mac? A number of my BD's have hundreds of playlists (to dissuade piracy I'm sure) and it's obnoxious to uncheck all those playlist...
