Am I reading your post correctly that there are no slimline enclosure options? Just the hulking 5.25" enclosures? They're so...BIG.

Well...at least I could rip my Blu-rays.

Looking forward to the .1 release that fixes this new issue.

Re: “Fatal Error Occured” with MacOS 15.4 Developer Beta 1

Glad to hear a fix is coming, I was a bit panicked when I put in a new Blu-ray today to rip and saw an error I've never seen MakeMKV show before.

Re: New Disc Operation Fortune

Indeed, it turned out the problem was on my side: earlier this year I'd used my Firewalla (a hardware firewall) to block all incoming/outgoing IP traffic to China. When I tried ripping two more 4K discs today, they failed, so I put my machine into a state where the Firewalla wouldn't block anything....

Re: New Disc Operation Fortune

So it's been seven months since this thread was opened and someone submitted the first dump file. I bought this disc three months ago and still can't watch it. I've emailed svq@ three times without any reply. I tried ripping it again today, same error as always. Is there anything we can do? Does any...

Re: New Disc Operation Fortune

Same issue here. I submitted the dump a bit over a month ago, tried it again today, still can't open the disc. What's the typical timeline to get the disc added? The first log was sent in April, so we're on month five. Is that normal, or is there perhaps something wrong, like not enough data to open...

Re: I created a site to help people know what titles to rip from discs

I just wanted to say thank you for this, especially for the Ken Burns Country series - I bought the Blu-ray this week and was looking for a way to see what tracks to rip. Your efforts are greatly appreciated! 🙌

EDIT: Apparently emojis are rendered ridiculous large, but it shows how grateful I am so I'm leaving it on.

Thanks, will submit the file. Reboot didn't work after all for this disc.

Re: MakeMKV.net: Almost Got Tricked!

Indeed, but it ranks higher than MakeMKV.com in search results! Some people are going to be tricked unfortunately if they are not paying attention. :?

Oh wait...<checks again> damn it, I was using Bing. It's fine in Google and DuckDuckGo. Less of an issue then thankfully.

I was able to exchange the disc for a replacement, and the new one was able to be ripped. So maybe just a bad disc...

MakeMKV.net: Almost Got Tricked!

I'm setting up a new Mac Studio and lazily Googled MakeMKV to get the download and clicked on the first link, which took me here: https://www.makemkv.net/download/ My first thought was "Cool, they updated their logo and look". I downloaded it, then my brain kicked in and noticed the .net i...

Re: What do you do when MakeMKV can't see your drives on macOS?

Well don't I just feel dumb. Turns out my external hub had crashed somehow and that's why two of the three optical drives weren't show up. What's weird is that my external SSDs connected to the hub were still working ok, so that's why I didn't suspect it, but now I know better...now all thre...

Re: What do you do when MakeMKV can't see your drives on macOS?

Hi Mike, I appreciate the response. I've done a bit more testing and this issue seems to be a problem with my iMac and not MakeMKV specifically. I tried all three drives with a DVD and two of the three won't even show up in Finder. So I need to explore this at the macOS level. If I get them showing ...

What do you do when MakeMKV can't see your drives on macOS?

I have three slimline external optical drives: an old Asus Blu-ray reader from 10 years ago, a newer Blu-ray burner from two years ago, and a UHD Libredrive that I bought from someone here in the forums. For a few years, all three drives worked great with MakeMKV. Recently though, only the Libredriv...
