Re: UHD drives
Just bought an Asus BW-16D1H-U PRO and it spits out UHD disks, unable to read them at all, just like my other drives. Have I wasted my money or is there a way to get it working?

Re: Default Save Location in Preferences never works
A-a-a-a-a-h ... I had set the directory in Preferences>General>MakeMKV Data Directory - had no idea I should be going into the Video section. Thanks for sorting it out. Hoping one day for a re-design that will make the whole MakeMKV experience more intuitive, slick and fun to use, but in the mean ti...

Default Save Location in Preferences never works
I have been using MakeMKV for some time and gone through any number of updates including the latest one which gives 10.10 compatibility - thanks for that. However in all that time the fault has never been fixed that means whatever you put in the preferences to specify a default Save location, the pr...

Re: Volume key unknown - for every disk
Fair point! On the other hand, the updating process I mean is the sort that alerts you to an available update and then asks if you wish to proceed. Anyway MakeMKV works so well generally that I am liable to forget it is beta.Woodstock wrote:Well, when dealing with Beta software, do you WANT it to auto-update?

Re: Volume key unknown - for every disk
You are quite right. I was looking at the 'About Window' and seeing 1.7.10 - but did not realise that it was under 'Latest Available version'. (To be honest I have not seen software version information presented like this before, and most of the software I use regularly has auto-updating; these appe...

Re: Volume key unknown - for every disk
Found it - on the left of the main window, not the right. Beasts of the Southern Wild is AACS v34; I can't tell you about Looper because I don't have the disk to hand.

Re: Volume key unknown - for every disk
The disc was Looper. I can't find the AACS version number anywhere – there is no startup window with this information on the Mac version of MakeMKV.

Volume key unknown - for every disk
I saw this message recently and thought it was an issue specific to that title. But it is now coming up with every BD I try to access (there are loads of SCSI error lines - i just copy the last two): Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - AUTHENTICATION FAILURE' o...
