I am thinking more and more that the problem I'm having with the blu ray disk not opening, is disk specific. It's a disk from the BBC, video encoded in VC-1 interlaced, with AACC v19 protection. I have made a few more attempts this morning, with the same blu ray, with the same result. I've attached below the entire MakeMKV_log.txt. My gut is telling me there is something with this BBC disk, using AACC v19 and encoded in VC1 interlaced that MakeMKV can't deal with. To test that, I'll try wit...

That seems very logical, except that my Blu Ray burner, a Matshita BD-MLT UJ-220V comes with TWO USB connections - one for data, the other devoted entirely to giving power to the drive. I am new to BD, and new to MakeMKV. I'm trying to backup a BBC blu-ray 2-disc television show. MakeMKV loads the blu ray disc fine (see image below), but when I try to backup, it won't even open the disc. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?
