Re: 3D MVC Option

I've been trying to get PowerDVD13 to play full 3D MVC MKV files but I don't think it's working as desired. I believe it's just software rendered 3D which is also causing stuttering in the video playback. Though when I play the same 3D BD ISO using virtual clone drive I get a white line on the righ...

Re: 3D MVC Option

I'm pretty sure my PDVD13 works. Playing 3d MVC MKV has the same quality as 3D BD playback. PDVD Support staff knows shit. You just gotta enabled the 3D output in your nVidia/AMD driver first to ensure the 3D signal is sent as HDMI 1.4 to your 3D TV Hi Fanbanlo, What do you mean about "You jus...

Re: 3D MVC Option

MakeMKV just repackages 3D stream to MKV file without any changes. This is the "standard" way to put a 3D video into MKV container, at lease that was agreed in matroska development lists. Thanks Mike for your answer. It seems that Cyberlink wants to try solving the issue in PDVD12/13. I h...

Re: 3D MVC Option

Hi to All, I got an official answer from Cyberlink about this incompatibility between PDVD12/13 and the MKV 3D created by MAKEMKV. (I have opened an official ticket to Cyberlink German Support). Their opinion about this method to extract the 3D from a BluRay 3D is that it is not a correct standard. ...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D

Hi, I have tried today and definitely can't get my MVC rips to work with powerdvd 12, stereoscopic player is the only program I find that works properly, not sure what you guys are doing different but I have about 15 blu rays ripped to my drive and all show multiview count of 2 so the rip is correc...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D

I'm not entirely sure that PowerDVD is actually opening the 3D MVC layer. From my test, it seems that PowerDVD only offers to do on-the-fly conversion to 3D. I've never had the 3D button actually see the right eye video. It's easy to tell, because when PowerDVD is converting. See this button, to th...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D

Maybe you guys should start your own thread rather than hijack mine MultiView_Count : 2 [/code] Hi lightsabersetc Could you please tell me how did you get the multiview _Count field set to 2? When I set the 3d Extension option in Makemkv for all my mkv 3d the result is same. I don't get this field ...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D

Maybe you guys should start your own thread rather than hijack mine you are right but at the moment we have the same result. You can't play MKV 3D with your new Dune Base 3D and in my case i can't play MKV 3D with powerdvd12. I have opened a ticket in Cyberlink to solve the issue. Did you do the sa...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D

PowerDVD automatically recognizes the file as 3D and shows a 3D icon in the playback controls; clicking it will enable the 3D playback. If Cyberlink isn't recognizing the rip as 3D, make sure that '+sel:mvcvideo;' is in your conversion profile (or you are manually selecting the MVC video track) and...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D

I can play my 3D files with no issues using Cyberlink PowerDVD 12. MakeMKV generates what is considered to be the industry standard in BluRay 3D, which is 2 full 1080p video streams compressed using the MVC (Multiview Video Coding) codec; which is not supported by most mainstream MKV players, thus ...

Re: 3D MVC Option

@Ant75

I would like to know your opinion about Stereoscopics player. In particular if you consider the MKV 3D read by Stereoscopic player equal to original BD3D read by Powerdvd12 for example.

thanks a lot

Re: 3D Blu-Rays - A Guide!

In my opinion it's a fight a losing battle. Mike Admin tells everytime that the features to extract the 3D it's seems only supported by Stereoscopics player. I don't understand because MakeMKV team (Mike Admin???) does not explain to the software house like Cyberlink or similar how to read this MKV ...

Re: 3D MVC Option

I have found this link http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon ... 962.0.html it's seems to have inside UVD3 decoder: The new UVD3 video decoder supports the decoding of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2, Flash and now also Multi-View Codec (MVC) and MPEG-4 part 2 (DivX, xVid) HD videos on the graphics...
