Re: macos high sierra
This is bug in MakeMKV, not Apple FS or anything like that. Apple is evil, but not this time. The bug is fixed, the next version should be released soon. It will be 64-bit only, still 10.6 compatible but requires x64 CPU. The 10.6 is the last version one can run on 32-bit machine. Its fixed in Beta...

Re: macos high sierra
Apps submitted to the Mac App Store is required to be 64 bit, comming january 1st. As MakeMKV isn't on the Mac App Store, and likely never will be, it is of course not a problem. High Sierra will allow 32 bit applications to run forever, so until we hit the next macOS release, a 64 bit application ...

Re: macos high sierra
Did you enable the new file system with High Sierra? There have been a number of apps that break with the case-sensitive file names introduced with the new file system, because they cannot find their files. I've converted to APFS in the Public Beta, I don't expect any file system issues because the...

Re: macos high sierra
I have the same issue. However, I believe this may be due to Apple reverting to a new form of AFP as MKV works fine on a Mac running Sierra or earlier. I have the same issue. I've switched back and forth between Sierra and High Sierra Beta 1 & 2 on this machine with the latest version of MakeMK...

Re: Has MKV been tested against Mac OS 10,11 "El Capitan"?
I have not had any problems with MakeMKV under the Beta for El Captain nor Yosemite. Unlike most Betas, these have not proven to be unusable, to the contrary I have been using them every day without any drama. Are they perfect, no. Are they glitch free, no. Do I think that the average user should be...

Re: Unable open *.mp4 file on QuickTime
MakeMKV does not output .mp4 files, it outputs .mkv files. Quicktime cannot play back .mkv files on its own. You can add software to allow Quicktime to play back .mkv files, butI prefer to use VLC or MPlayer to play these files. I then use Handbrake to convert the .mkv file to a .m4v file, which Qui...

Re: Linux Version Too Old
Reinstall a freshly downloaded copy, if that does not make a difference then use the latest Beta key (this is working for everyone else).

Re: Just downloaded 1.7.8 and it wants me to purchase a key
I just experienced the same exact problem, after a few days of use I received an error message stating that the software was too old. I downloaded fresh versions twice, but all had the same error message. I then recalled seeing a key somewhere in the forums, so I registered the software using the te...
