Still a dead end on my side.
I’ve found a way to identify the correct track if you rip them all and use a script to compare frames, but it’s not really feasible outside of the lab because of the heavy processing required.

Re: Which "title" to choose from Ghostbusters Blu-ray?
In this case I'd choose the 16 chapter. Typically you're never going to want a zero chapter, and basically nothing has 71.

Obtaining FPL_MainFeature from console
Is it possible to obtain the FPL_MainFeature comment that is present in the UI from within makemkvcon? I've tried everything I can think of and have Google-fu'd myself to nowhere for an embarrassing amount of time, so I'm coming to believe it's not possible. Java is setup, with the console output co...

Re: Node-MakeMKV: The Missing Web UI For MakeMKV
I haven't made any updates for a while, but there is a very solid beta right now. The best way to stay up to date with the project would be to watch it on GitHub - https://github.com/dlasley/node-makemkv For some reason, I don't get the emails from this forum; so the best way to request features wou...

Re: Remote-MakeMkv: makemkvcon GUI for headless server
Hi, yes actually there is! I completed my first few successful rips, and am just polishing a few things up. Stay tuned - I expect to release a beta within the next week or two

Re: [SOLVED] makemkvcon and utf 8 character from bash script
Glad to hear that it worked. The garbled characters you are seeing just mean that one of the applications in the stack (screen, nano, xterm, etc.) are not setup to handle UTF-8. You can either track down the specific app, or just ignore it. Also if you are saving to a file, it's possible that the fi...

Re: makemkvcon and utf 8 character from bash script
I've never used Slackware, but I'm pulling UTF-8 through with no issues on CentOS and Ubuntu. Locale changes won't take effect until you log out and back in, so I don't think that modifying the environment variables via CLI will work.. try editing your `/etc/profile.d/lang.sh` file instead. There wa...

Re: Possible to add a timeout to the wget?
Awesome, thanks for the clarification Woodstock! I didn't realize that the server is hosted in Ukraine, that definitely sheds light on the recent outages. I would love to keep the automatic updates enabled, but this poses somewhat of an issue with my headless server. I'll go ahead and disable them, ...

Possible to add a timeout to the wget?
Hello, I would like to request that a timeout be added to the HTTP retrievals that are performed for license checking. During times of website outages, the lack of timeout causes stray makemkvcon and wget processes that do not release resources until makemkv.com comes back up. Below is what I see in...

Re: Remote-MakeMkv: makemkvcon GUI for headless server
Sorry I didn't see this reply earlier, I must not have set my notification settings correctly. I wrote a tutorial on my blog that should help out. To touch on the Web UI side of things, yes it is possible, and I am currently working on it (although in Node.js instead of Python). Below is a picture o...

No problem; I'm just happy to see that I'm not the only one crazy enough to need something like this! Let me know if you have any questions with the install, my instructions leave a lot to be desired at this point

Re: Windows 8 Compatability
The reported error was occurring for me immediately upon upgrade to Windows 8 (preserved old programs/settings.. reinstalling MakeMKV resolved it.. I may have rebooted after the uninstall and before the reinstall..) That being said, I have also had the error you mentioned happen to me intermittently...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D
I will try different options of rip settings and see what happens before I give up with it. A good way to start (especially for debugging) is to scan the disk, then find the main title. If you expand the video track, you'll notice a check box for the MVC video (I forget what it's actually called, i...

Re: Idiots Guide To 3D
Maybe you guys should start your own thread rather than hijack mine My response was relevant to both inquiries, but I will restate: IF it is configured correctly, MakeMKV will produce an industry standard 3D .mkv file; compatible with both Dune (according to its product sheet) and PowerDVD (confirm...
