Re: My Blu-Ray Player plays movie fine, MakeMKV = SCSI Error
If MakeMKV is having trouble with a lot of my Blu-Ray discs, while my Blu-Ray player isn't, is there a way I can use the HDMI output from my Blu-Ray player to encode the movie?

Re: My Blu-Ray Player plays movie fine, MakeMKV = SCSI Error
Well I blame MakeMKV because it IS at fault here. There are numerous CD-ripping applications that go back a decade, and they employ error-correcting mechanisms to ensure that music gets transcoded even if the disc is less than perfect. CD players use the same technology, and so do Blu-Ray disc playe...

My Blu-Ray Player plays movie fine, MakeMKV = SCSI Errors
My Blu-Ray Player plays all of my Blu-Ray discs just fine. No pausing, skipping or any other playback issues. However, when I try to rip many of my Blu-Ray discs with MakeMKV for OSX, 70% of the discs cannot be ripped due to constant SCSI Errors. NONE of the discs have scratches. If anything, some h...

Re: SCSI Errors every single time
Hi Reporting back. Tried two Blu-Ray drives, brand new off Amazon. Also ordered a new copy of War of the Worlds Blu-Ray. Discs look fine, without any smudges. Brand new. Yet this is the error report. Got the same thing when trying to use the drives on my Mac Mini. MakeMKV v1.10.1 darwin(x86-release)...

Re: SCSI Errors every single time
Hi, and thanks for your reply. Here is the error report while trying to READ the disc (not rip it). This is a brand new War of the Worlds Blu-Ray purchased off Amazon, without so much as a fingerprint on it. MakeMKV v1.10.1 darwin(x86-release) started Optical drive "BD-RE PIONEER BD-RW BDR-XS06...

SCSI Errors every single time
Hi all, I've been using MakeMKV for years, but in recent months began receiving a ton of SCSI errors while ripping Blu-Rays. These are brand new discs from Amazon that I had purchased, without a single smudge on them. I have upgraded to the latest version of OSX, and purchased a different Blu-Ray dr...

Re: Direct Access Mode = Tons of SCSI errors
Yeah, see, the problem is I've already installed it, and am trying to figure out how to uninstall it. I can't seem to find any resources online on how to uninstall the DASPI kernel. Nada. Zilch. I was hoping someone here could offer guidance. Thanks for your reply anyway.

Direct Access Mode = Tons of SCSI errors
After recently upgrading to the latest version of MakeMKV, I've decided to install the DASPI that came with it. Before, MakeMKV used OS access (or something to that extent), and my BD rips worked fine. However, with direct disc access I constantly get SCSI errors. Is there a way to disable this? I r...

Re: SCSI errors on From Russia with Love
I get these ALL the time. I would say 1 out of every 3 Blu-Ray discs I own (without a smudge or scratch on its surface) won't rip. MakeMKV just throws off SCSI errors. I was happy to pay the registration price thinking this would be a one-stop solution, but to no avail. I've kind of given up. Sorry ...
