Re: UHD Failed decryption
I tried your suggestion of cleaning the discs, but still no joy. I have also tried the WH14NS40 firmware in my LG drive, (all versions) and this DC Justice League still won't copy. Thanks for your advice, I had forgotten about cleaning new discs, unfortunately It did not work, the disc may have mast...

Re: UHD Failed decryption
I am using a new LG BH16NS55 friendly drive with firmware downgraded to version 1.00 which works fine with all my other Marvel and DC 4K movies.
The discs are perfect with no marks or defects and are brand new.
Please let me know what ODD are you using and what firmware version ?

UHD Failed decryption
I have the latest 1.14.3 MakeMKV and I am using direct access to the server for hashed keys.
So far It is unable to decrypt DC Justice League, Star Wars The Last Jedi and Marvel AntMan and the Wasp. (all UHD)
They all failed with too many hash key errors, xxxx.m2ts file is corrupted.

Re: Backup to Blu-ray ISO files
Yes, I already do this, I just thought it would be more convenient for MakeMKV to do this.d00zah wrote:No. If it did, the app would be called 'MakeISO'.
But, you CAN use 'ImgBurn', or some other freeware ('Folder2ISO') to save the folder structure to an .iso.

Backup to Blu-ray ISO files
Can you write MakeMKV to create blu-ray backups directly into .iso files instead of just (currently) making the blu-ray folders ?

BDAV Title Names
I am decrypting files from a BDAV disc and most of the time MakeMKV is not displaying the title names of the recordings, the make MKV button works and produces an MKV file ok, but the title names in the playlist folder are not being read properly, if I use notepad to access the .rpls files I can see...

MakeMKV 3D decryption
Can MakeMKV decrypt a 3D blu-ray disc to a 3D MKV file that can be stored on a flash drive and then played in 3D on a 3D TV from a USB port ?
I have tried this, but I cannot get the MKV file to work in 3D, it only appears to be in 2D.

I still cannot read any BDAV discs in ver 1.9.4 I get the error message "The volume key is unknown for this disc - can't decrypt video" DVDFab has no problem decrypting these discs produced by my Panasonic DMR BW780 EB Video Recorder, so MakeMKV should be able to determine the volume key, ...

Re: Hope Springs DVD Error
@cscott524
The reason MakeMKV does not give the backup as an option is because that feature in only available for Blu Ray discs, not DVDs, however it would be nice for MakeMKV users to be able to backup DVDs to iso image files, hint, hint.
Sorry I can't help with your actual problem though.

Re: Cannot make MKV files from decrypted DVD images
That must be true Woodstock, I have the French version box of Stargate Atlantis with English discs which I bought from eBay, I definately could not decrypt season two and above with MakeMKV 1.8.5 so I used DVDdecrypter instead.

Re: Cannot make MKV files from decrypted DVD images
Hi Woodstock, Thank you for your reply. I had already tried ripping the discs directly with MakeMKV 1.8.5 and it worked fine for season one, but no success with season two and above of Stargate Atlantis, which is why I used DVDdecrypter to make the iso image files. BTW DVDdecrypter maintains all men...
