It seems like your right. I haven`t tested much yet, but I will. And come back to this.

Hi! You say In your playback software, turn on deinterlacing. Your DVD player does it by default, your playback software does not.

How do you account for the fact that the OP states that when he/she plays the ORIGINAL DVD with the same software players, they DON'T exhibit interlacing ...

Never seen this on any movie I have at all, this is the first time.
Not from original DVDs or from other files.

Edit: If I use Clone DVD, this don`t happen, but I don`t want it as DVD`s, I want each episode as an single file.
Like it better that way.

That I have done, and there are not the same problem when I play directly from the DVD.

And the problem is the same on any player. (XBMC, VLC and WMP)

I have used MakeMKV to copy my new DVDs with Friends.
But I get a strange problem in the picture, sound and everything else is OK.

I get lines all over the picture. If there is movements it gets fussy..
