Yes, I cleaned the disc twice, but unfortunately that didn't help. (In many other cases it did help). The disc player also sounds strange when the disc is in the drive and when MakeMKV tries to detect the disc.

Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri
MakeMKV 1.18.4 Mac says "No disc" when I try to convert Three Billboards. Is this a known problem?

Re: Equalizer 2
Are VAM and GIP some standard abbreviations, or is this only valid for "Equalizer 2"?PSonic wrote: Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:57 am When I run makemkv with Equalizer 2, I get 2 features. One has FPL_mainfeature_VAM and the other is FPL_mainfeature_GIP.

subtitles hdmv pgs won't appear
Hello!
It seems that the subtitle format hdmv pgs is either not converted by MakeMKV, or my BluRay player Samsung HT-F5550 cannot play it. A technician from Samsung stated that my BluRay player can play subtitles in the following formats:
ssa (substation alpha)

Re: BD subtitles (bdpg)
I understand :-)
But ... ;-) the file created with MakeMKV contains 2 subtitle streams with codec bdpg .
The file created from this with Subler contains 1 subtitle stream with codec tx3g . This one is a normal subtitle track (at least I suppose) wich only contains the forced subtitles! I can ...

Re: BD subtitles (bdpg)
The name "Subler" comes up a lot on other forums.
I tried Subler and it works :-) - but only for my Mac, not for my BluRay player.
I want to see the forced subtitles from "Game of Thrones" when the actors talk in a foreign language.
From the *.mkv I created a *.m4v video with Subler (with ...

Re: BD subtitles (bdpg)
This program only runs on Windows. Is there something similar/recommendable for Mac OS X?Dazkine wrote:You dont need extract subtitles first. You can directly import mkv files into Subtitle Edit.
You can use *.srt but then you will lose any formatations

BD subtitles (bdpg)
When I playback a file created by MakeMKV with VLC and have the information about the streams displayed, VLC says there are three subtitle streams in the file, their type is "BD subtitles (bdpg)". When I playback the same file with my BD player (Samsung HT-F5550) the player says "There are no ...

Re: Missing subtitles
Are you working with Bluray disk as the source? If so, is your player compatible with PGS subtitles in an MKV container?

Missing subtitles
I am using MakeMKV 1.8.9 for Mac. I've been using German subtitles for a long time. Since some months the selected subtitles can be selected in the MKV-player-app, but no subtitles do appear. If I for example select German and English subtitles, both in 2 versions, I have 4 elements in the popup ...

Automatic selection of audio tracks and subtitles
Hi! For each DVD I convert with MKV I go through the same process: When there is a German audio track (my mother tongue) I select it. Otherwise I select the English audio track (often the only available track for bonus material). Additionally, I select all German subtitles.
