No. I did not. I didn't check in MakeMKV to see if the firmware actually changed. I will do that and get back to you with the results.

So, I downloaded the firmware pack from the guide and none of the files had MK in the name. I flashed my drive using the BU40N and although I haven't restarted my laptop yet, it still says LibreDrive is not yet enabled. Where do I find the correct firmware file? Something with DE and MK in the name ...

The guide warns against ASUS↔LG crossflashing on slim drives — does that not apply to the SBW-06D5H-U specifically, since it's OEM-identical to a BU40N? I want to make sure before I do anything so I don't end up with a $150 paperweight.
