I used a sata to usb adapter with an incorporated power supply, like so: https://www.amazon.com.mx/sata-a-usb/s?k=sata+a+usb


This one is recommended. Most others don't allow flashing and are also only supposed to work with HDD. This one supports optical drives 100%.

I received my drive a couple of days ago, it's legit and comes preflashed as the seller claims since makemkv reports libredrive is enable. When it comes to actually ripping I had issues, I hope they're just because I tested using a sata to usb adapter since my 5.5" slot in my computer already ...
