THe Backup" option is greyed out on mine. Is there some magic to enable this? THanks.

The Backup toolbar button is enabled after you insert a disc but before you click the large drive button.

There is an issue when MakeMKV tries to interleave the BL and EL hevc streams for these "Lionsgate 2298 frame RPU" discs. With info from chalaheadchala's posts, I am using this work around for the time being:
1. Use MakeMKV to backup the disc Decrypted
2. Use ffmpeg, dovi_tool, and mkvmerge to ...

I tried two 1.18.3 commits and one 1.18.2 commit, with the same resulting behavior (flathub doesn't go back any further)

I was able to backup directly from the disc using MakeMKV. If you notice, the output file size pauses at 1m31s, however you can see the Read rate slowly increase, then decrease, then increase, as it continues to scan all 3 UHD layers of the disc.
