there seems to be a way to disable Steam's "read-only" mode in order to be able to use Arch's package manager.
I'm sure there's probably a way, I'm just trying to avoid tinkering as much as possible (would even purchase a license instead of using the beta key in pursuit of that goal). I want my PC ...

I'm considering installing SteamOS after Extended Support for Windows 10 ends. Would this method work to use MakeMKV to play Blu-rays with Kodi? As I understand it, SteamOS can only install flatpaks.
