fw wont fix your driver issue
but the fix is easy just right click on top in device manager on your pc and click search for new devices and it will reinstall the driver
or just unplugging and re-plugging would too

What happened with the download link for this file, it claims it doesn't exist anymore. Also trying to find the original drivers since I already patched this in the past, but have been having issues lately with it not showing up as an optical drive, and I accidentally deleted the cd dvd driver ...

It would be very helpful if you actually told us what firmware you put on it or posted the MakeMKV drive info & libredrive info sections!!
