Well to be honest I actually did this by accident. I was coping the line into notepad, I thought, but it went to the command prompt I had open and the line had an embedded carriage return so when i hit paste it started running and stuff started scrolling on the screen and I was like, well there goes ...

I was able to fix my drive with this command: makemkvcon64.exe f --all-yes -d G: rawflash nocheck,boot="MT1959 Boot JB8 " -i "C:\buffalorecovery\DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin"
I have successfully ripped two UHD discs and a blu-ray. Huge thanks to all that helped! I am now officially done with flashing ...

Accidentally flashed: DE_LG_WH16NS60_1.02_MK.bin
SDFtool now reports MT1959 Platform And see's this: G: BUFFALO_Optical_Drive_1.02_211810291936_MO1Q29B3511
Recovery with DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin returns immediately to Ready...
Normal write ...

I have a LG WH14NS40 MT1959 drive I bought back in 2018. It has been lightly used over the years but recently I have been ripping mostly DVDs and about 5 Bluray discs. I have a few UHD movies and found that this could be flashed to read those. I successfully flashed to WH16NS60 and popped in a UHD ...
