I've successfully installed DASPI v1.5 on macOS 15.7.5.
Steps to complete:
(1) Disable SIP in Recovery OS.
(2) Use an app like Pacifist to extract daspi.kext from the installer bundle (found in the MakeMKV .dmg under Extras).
(3) Move daspi.kext to /System/Volumes/Data/Library/Extensions.

Thanks. I've been working to get this installed on a Mac mini 3,1 running El Capitan instead.
Despite disabling SIP, DASPI.kext is showing as "Loadable: No" in System Information. When I run sudo kextutil /Library/Extensions/daspi.kext , I get the following:

I'm working to back up some remaining HD DVDs with an Xbox 360 HD DVD drive (Toshiba). Connected to a Mac mini m4 running macOS Sequoia. Getting the DASPI install recommendation, as well as severely decreased performance.
