Appreciate the suggestion MartyMcNuts, Cleaning with a qtip and alcohol has been a big improvement. In windows I can now watch several Bluray disks via VLC and I'm tetsing extracting tracks with MakeMKV. Not really sure if it's related but my brand new ASUS BC-12D2HT wasn't able to rip a regular blu-ray on Linux (MakeMKV 1.18.3) until I flashed it with MK firmware. (I don't remember what was the exact response but I think MakeMKV just sort of hang/loop indefinitely when attempt to "parse"...

I have two Blueray Drives, A very old Hp DVDWBD TS-LB23L drive and a new HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU50N drive. I had inconsistent results on the HL-DT-ST Product: BD-RE BU50N until I loaded the libredrive firmware, but now that drive rips great. I'm trying to locate the correct firmware for the Hp DVDWBD TS-L...
