sorry forgot to mention in email and post that the exact same disc ripped fine first attempt on 1.7.5

i have reproduced error and send dump files to support.

I have had the same problem since upgrading to 1.7.7 Although for me it is nothing to do with windows media player. as soon as it finsihes opening disc get the fatal error.
