Are you certain that the DVDs had the episodes coded as separate blocks?
What does it look like if you try the original DVD?
Which series?

Re: Feature request: multi-task mode
If you are not on a Mac, you can simply run additional copies of MakeMKV, one for each rip. There are some contention issues right now, since all copies try to access all available drives during start-up, but they are manageable. Actually, that function is in the Mac version, too... And yeah, it tr...

Re: HELP!
I assume that you're ripping a Blu-ray?
Why not give us a bit more information, and possibly the debug logs?

Re: File size reduction
Removing audio streams won't really reduce the files all that much. (We still do it, though) Running HandBrake or a similar encoder, though... With the default settings, HB will reduce the filesize to one fourth or less. (Working on the Jeeves & Wooster TV series right now, and 2.2 GB files end ...

Re: Automatic scan stupidity
Would have been real nice when I was working with 4 drives to do the bulk of my ripping. I don't rip that many DVDs any more, but once in a while I get a 'complete' package of some series or other, and then it would be really nice. (Latest was Maison ikokku at 12 DVDs, and yeah, a box with all the S...

Re: MakeMKV 1.8.2 will be the last version supporting OSX 10
Amen! Keep it compatible with 10.6.x. My Mac Mini (first gen Intel) may or may not be able to run 10.7, and 10.8 is probably not possible. In fact, it's not supposed to be able to run 10.7 even, as it came with a paltry 1.66GHz Core Duo, but the 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo I installed is capable, as long as ...

Re: Two ideas...
Doesn't MakeMKV have a field up to the right where you can edit the folder name? (I'm using the Mac version. Don't know what Windows or Linux versions have) I'd love a preference setting 'never ask before creating a folder'. When I rip series(about to tackle Futurama Season 5 & &), I start t...

Re: Please add the ability to queue up multiple drives
Not that special...
We just need to use the 'New MakeMKV instance' choice in the 'MakeMKV' menu...
Disc changes can be a pain, though...
(Swapping the DVD in a 'free' drive while all instances are busy seems slightly less bothersome.)

Re: Error with Urusei Yatsura DVDs
I just got DVD 28 in this series (I have all the movies, the OVAs, 1 - 25, 31, 32, 37, 40 already, none of which causes problems) and can say that 1.7.9 for Mac can't do it either. Strange thing is that this is a Zone 1 DVD, but it's only when I put it in a Zone 2 player that MakeMKV can even read t...

Re: Ripping to network share fails
How soon do you get the error?
Immediately, some time during the rip, or at the end?
Consider setting the access rights to 'full access', not just 'Change'

Re: Copy to NAS performance?
Quick question; you're not using WiFi, are you?
If you're on a wired network, you shouldn't have any other limitations than the DVD/BD drive itself.
(Unless you have an ancient PC, of course. Then that may also slow it down a bit)

Re: Burning MKV to Blu-Ray Using Ubuntu 12.04
Whyever would you want to create 'new' physical media out of a .MKV copy of the original BD? Why not do as just about everyone here does; store the original in a safe place(remember, the original is your 'license' to use the .MKV copy. ) and play the .mkv file on your computer, or any other computer...

Re: The Dread AACS error
Are you using a DVD-drive with the same Zone as the DVD?
You may have run into a protection version not seen on too many other DVDs, in which case you're supposed to send a log to the MakeMKV creators.

Re: big bang DVD 9 from china
Give up!
DVDs from China are either bootleg or of horrible quality.
The first we won't help you with, and the second is a waste of time.

Re: Which file
It never hurts to rip both files, then test each to see if they're complete. Also, sometimes they have a 'directors commentary' version that shows up as a separate title. They're usually the same number of chapters, and have the same running time, but now and then you may find one that has the 'comm...
