Re: What are the reasonable prices?
Are there any manufacturers left? Nobody is manufacturing the core drives anymore. There are still a few companies with remaining drives in inventory, that are stuffing them inside USB enclosures, and selling them as external drives at a markup. Re: Buffalo BRXL-16U3 Flashing issue
Yup got it up and running, works like a charm! Think if you just directly flash to the HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02 firmware you can avoid the issues I was having Flash directly to WH16NS60 1.02- MK . One and done. After that the encrypted box on the SDFlasher tool will have a red X next to it, and...

Re: What are the reasonable prices?
Best Buy seems to have the LG BP50NB40 in stock most of the time for about $115. They were on sale for $93 a few weeks ago. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-8x-external-usb-2-0-blu-ray-disc-double-layer-dvdrw-cd-rw-disc-rewriter-black/JXTZZL27X9 But I think the last reasonable deals (before new dr...

Re: Fairly Cheap BU40N Pre-Flashed Drive on Amazon
It probably doesn't matter, but the manufacture date from the sticker on top of the drive is March 2023.

Re: BU40N issues
On Linux, BU40N drives work better on the 1.00 firmware. Hello, I also have strange behavior under Linux by my BU40N. Question : where do you find the 1.00 firmware ? Thanks a lot in advance for your help ! It's in here. https://www.mediafire.com/file/bpl3pz2brp9lquk/All+You+Need+Firmware+Pack+%28M...
