It probably doesn't matter, but the manufacture date from the sticker on top of the drive is March 2023.

That drive didn't need to be flashed at all. I just got one today, and it rips UHD disks right out of the box.

On Linux, BU40N drives work better on the 1.00 firmware. Hello, I also have strange behavior under Linux by my BU40N. Question : where do you find the 1.00 firmware ? Has anybody had success ripping this title? I've tried with 3 or 4 different drives, and about 20 min in, it starts throwing errors.
