Did your drive ever get libre support? There were some few other guys with this drive. Basically it would need Mike's attention and he has a little proggie to download your firmware to his server to make libredrive available. This has not happened and he never reacted to the posts of the other users...

Pioneer BDR-XS08MB-S just arrived from Japan - No Libredrive yet but possibile See pics below I think i'm one on the first in the world owning this drive and using it with MKV (at least on western world) As you can see Libredrive is not yet enabled with MakeMKV...
