Re: Pioneer external slimline USB drives for sale (various OEM like Verbatim) - already 4K UHD crossflashed & tested

I'm also adding a brand new Pioneer BDR‑XD05T drive for sale.
It was only opened to check the contents and perform a crossflash.

Re: UHD ripping works, but extremely slow

I think this won't help. Tell us exactly what kind of enclosure it is. Is it a drive in a Verbatim enclosure, or something else.
Also write what motherboard model is in the computer.

The enclusure is a Verbatim 43890. The computer is a Dell Inspiron 3891 with a proprietary Micro-ATX ...

Re: UHD ripping works, but extremely slow

Thank you, Sayaka, for this guide. It may be very useful.

In case of the issue described by the author of the thread, it seems to me that the drive doesn't have sufficient power.
Try to get a USB‑C to USB‑A 3.0 and USB‑A 2.0 Y‑cable and connect both ends to the USB ports.

A good solution, and the ...

Re: Reasonable Price for New LGBP50NB40 Flashed to BU40N?

Thanks for the responses!

I've been looking through the forums, but I'm finding a lot of conflicting or old information and opinions, so it has been really difficult to decipher what my actual best options are.

I don't plan on ripping 4k. I have been working on ripping my entire DVD and (non-UHD ...

Re: (Asmcom:) Pioneer UHD 4K Drives, MakeMKV Discounted Software £39.99, Worldwide Service, Excellent Service!!!

Read the first post carefully. Asmcom will only be selling slimline LG drives, not 5.25" units. Asmcom is based in the UK, so shipping to Germany will involve additional import fees (the UK is no longer in the EU, unfortunately).

Re: Drive Recommendations for Noob Not Concerned w/UHD

Does anyone have recommendations for what drive I should get if I'm not concerned about ripping UHD?

I've been slowly working on ripping my entire DVD and (non-UHD) blu-ray collection for a couple years now, but my current drive (ASUS BC-12B1ST b) seems to be giving up the ghost. It stopped ...

I'm adding one Pioneer BDR‑X13EBK drive to the list of available drives with factory firmware post 12/2022, which means I'm unable to crossflash it.
If you're able to get a fair crossflash price from Billycar11, this offer is perfect for you.

Re: Keeping a Likely Clone Pioneer BDR-209DBK vs Picking up an LG Drive

I have never seen any BDR‑209 units newer than 2019.
In 2024, only the BDR‑212 and BDR‑213 models were being produced.
You most likely bought a Chinese recase. The label is definitely fake.
Please upload a few photos of this drive so others can be warned.
I'm curious what's inside. I wouldn't be ...

Re: UK Advice: Best 4K Ripping Strategy Given Strict Case, Environmental, & Lifespan Constraints?

I've read through your requirements, and if I were in your place, I would definitely rule out slimline USB drives.
They're simply too delicate. If a cat sits on one, it could easily end badly for the drive.

The option I recommend is getting an Asus BW‑16D1H(X)‑U that has a Pioneer drive inside.
