Hi,
I rolled the dice and obtained an unbranded BR-RW on aliexpress. It turned out to be the BU50N with the manufacturer labelled HP. I can confirm the MK firmware pack (goto BU50N as instructed) and install the LG BU50N firmware.
Very simple and working.
