Re: SDFtool Flasher
I said "latest LibreDrive list" not because I believed support was recently added, but simply because I forgot to check the list altogether. I added "latest" just as a way of wording it.

Re: SDFtool Flasher
It doesn't need flashing. It is UHD compatible as is. The only reason to flash it, would be to remove the sleep bug, which isn't really necessary anyway. If you want to flash it, use WH16NS60 1.02-MK.

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Hello,
You should flash DE_LG_WH16NS60_1.00.bin (which is not a MK firmware and therefore less troublesome for DVDFab and possibly Linux compatibility) or DE_LG_WH16NS60_1.02_MK.bin (which seems to be the "gold standard" when you don't care about DVDFab), both are from MartyMcNuts' all you need ...

Re: Puppet Master 12-Blu-Ray Collection - #9 PM Axis of Evil
I understand the flash is not perfect but wasnt expecting a junk reprint BD to not work. Anyone come across this with a LibreDrive Enabled unit?
I did and so did thaelis, with the French Blu-ray known as "JO". Please see here for the full discussion : https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php ...

Re: Blu-ray region issue
A recent Blu-Ray rip seems to have run into some kind of region-blocking, as all I get is a very small rip that, when converted or played, gives me a screen from the menu system that says the disc can only be played on a Region A player.
The "very small rip" part would *almost* make me think that ...

Since this combination has already been tried, I’ll wait for Billy’s or Marty’s advice on the next recovery step
As per your request, I will no longer be giving recovery advice in this topic. I think I've said all that I can possibly say anyway.

When you select recover what wrong fw are you selecting?
I pretty sure people have recovered from this in this way
The cli lines are fine to try
Thank you.
I went back through my notes.
The sequence was:
1. GUI WRITE:
HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070917.bin

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Thank you for the /dev/sr0 part, I will need that. Could you please start the full MakeMKV Graphical User Interface once it's installed, and see if there is something like this ?

Re: SDFtool Flasher
The download: https://makemkv.com/sdf.bin fails.
As the instructions imply, this download seems to be mandatory for Mac, not Linux. You can just ignore the whole sdf.bin thing on Linux (I know I did, anyway).
Should i set up another VM/LXC/Docker with an older Makekmv version or is there ...

And to clarify they should be fine in whichever order you want to try them. As I said, worst case scenario, the flash will fail and you can just try the other boot ID. But if you absolutely need someone to pick an order, this would be my final advice :
