On a Mac with Monterey it also fails to download the SDF files. And the same happens on a Mac with Catalina where the firewall isn't even enabled.

OK was able to solve this by downloading https://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin and placing it in the ~/Library/MakeMKV folder as is.

Re: Dolby Atmos
And to prevent disappointment ATMOS <> ATMOS What i mean is that ATMOS doesn't need to be Dolby TrueHD, Warner in fact proved it with their Benelux release of Mad Max: Fury Road where for 3D they use Dolby Digital+ in the ATMOS stream for the English audio track, and the French track has TrueHD. Re: Pr?teaR - disc 1
My test with the exact same DVD on a Mac Mini with Lion produced the same error. Guess we can exclude a ML specific problem.
Thx crowfax, i'll follow-up on it. Strange as this is a rather new DVD and heck even never used ... too much movies, too little time

Have a similar problem with La Meglio Gioventu NL disk also working on Mountain Lion. Also have a Mac Mini Lion and will try there to see if that makes a difference. Re: DSAPI Mountain Lion LG BD-RE BH10LS30
Then i guess it's this one , that's a USB 2.0 SATA internal but also contains a bracket for eSata not that we Mac users can do alot with that  Still have a very old Icy Box lying around here but only IDE inside no SATA so unusable i guess. Also the LG BH10LS38 seems to be the successor to the ...

Thanks, guess will be a bit harder to get my hands on the LG drive as it's discontinued.
The Samsung SE-506AB also seems to work, but slower reading speeds than the LG

Re: DSAPI Mountain Lion LG BD-RE BH10LS30
Probably off-topic but i have no experience yet with BD ripping.
Is the LG BD-RE BH10LS30 the recommended drive for BD ripping or are there nowadays better options out there ? I use an iMac i7 3,4 GHz so would need an external one.
