Re: MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird

1.17.6/7 (they are really just the same thing according to https://makemkv.com/download/history.html) happens to be the last version that works fine with non-LibreDrive (without the sdf_Stop workaround) though. I got myself another drive. This one has Libre support. With 1.18.3 it works now. So, ye...

Re: Source Code BR

By a process of elimination only 743 and 876 make sense. Every other title has either a wrong length, weird loops of the bathroom scene, missing scenes ... stuff like that. The only difference between those two seems to be the number of subtitles. 743 has 23, 876 has 4. When you play the disk with a...

Re: makemkv hangs, makemkvcon at 100%

Sounds like the same problem I am having. I just downgraded to 1.17 and it seems to work again. There are several other topics here about that. I think there might be a problem with 1.18 on Linux. Maybe even a MakeMKV-drive-compatibiliy issue? (I have no way to verify that though) See also ... MakeM...

Re: MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird

UPDATE Out of desperation I built an older version (1.17.6, the newest non-1.18 version I have in my archive), and it works. So, now I'm pretty confident, that my system is good, and this is a MakeMKV-version problem. Is there a way to get older versions (for Linux) from somewhere? I think there was...

Re: MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird

It took me a while to take another look at this. I finally tried to run it from a life linux distro. Same result :( Can some please check if they have the duplicated processes as well? I suspect the problem comes from there. I'm not sure why this happened suddenly. I'm out of ideas and frustrated. I...

Re: MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird

When I cross-reference several things (e.g. system logs, bash history), the result matched pretty much my memory: 1. MakeMKV 1.18.2 is working but has AACS problems with a disk (first time I have ever seen something like this) 2. Upgrade to MakeMKV 1.18.3 ... which is now broken (as described) 3. Do...

Re: MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird

I did the following:

1. remove makemkv
2. remove the ~/.MakeMKV dir
3. reinstall MakeMKV 1.18.2 (the last version I knew was working)

Still, the problem remains.

Are there any log files I can look at? If yes, where?

Re: MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird

Is there a list somewhere, about where MakeMKV puts its files? I only know about this one: ~/.MakeMKV It would also help if I knew where to find log files or something. MakeMKV going crazy and hugging the CPU ... I would like to know what kind of trouble it has. Aside from that, I already tried rein...

MakeMKV can't read disks anymore and behaves weird

Yesterday I was trying to handle a disc, which caused some problems. MakeMKV said it can't decrypt, it looked like an unknown-key problem or something. I was on v1.18.2. So I upgraded the AACS database in ~/.config/aacs and upgraded to MakeMKV v1.18.3, because the release notes said something about ...
