Now you come to mention it no ,my latest failure was 'The Expendables' and that is MPEG 4..... 
The ones with VC1 have been OK....

Thanks for your reply but the discs are spotless the drive is brand new and I don't have a video card (integrated graphics Intel I5) and also they playback perfectly on PDV11. Are there any settings I should look out for in Make MKV ? As I said I am having about 80% success where the rips are flawle...

Thanks for your reply. After a afternoon of head scratching I have found out how to just rip the parts I want. Do you name the file in the 'Output file' box or is this done in XBMC? The majority of problems I am having are in XBMC and getting that to see the files and configuring the scraper etc. I ...
